Professor Martin Whyte qualified in medicine in 1998 from King’s College London, having previously been awarded a Bachelor of Science degree, funded by The Medical Research Council, during his studies.

He undertook general and specialist training in Diabetes & Endocrinology in London, including King’s College, Guy’s Hospital and St.Thomas’ Hospitals. His PhD was awarded in 2010 for the study of insulin action in critical illness.
